Déclarer is led by a small but mighty team of women from the worlds of fashion, entertainment, and design. We bring a storyteller’s eye to everything we do. From the pieces we create to the way we talk about them, everything is rooted in our love for vintage finds, bold declarations, and jewelry that actually means something.

Déclarer was born from the belief that what you wear and what you give should mean something. Inspired by vintage treasures and modern love stories, our jewelry is made for declarations of all kinds: quiet, bold, and everything in between. Each piece nods to the past, but is designed to live in the present. Crafted with care, made in small batches, and meant to be worn for a lifetime.
our MATERIALS
We use high-quality, responsibly sourced materials to ensure every piece is hypoallergenic, tarnish-free, and made for everyday wear. Crafted in .925 sterling silver and 14k gold vermeil, our jewelry is rich in color, built to last, and designed to be worn forever. We use recycled and Fairmined metals to reduce environmental impact, with each piece handcrafted in small batches in Brooklyn, New York.

The Idea
Déclarer started with a jewelry box—well, several. We were sourcing vintage pieces from around the world: Parisian flea markets, 1960s estate sales, late-night online finds. The more we uncovered, the more we wondered—why wasn’t anyone making jewelry like this anymore? Where were the cheeky engravings, the delicate filigree, the kind of details that actually meant something? After thousands of finds and one big realization, we stopped collecting and started creating. From there, Déclarer was born.

the samples
We found a manufacturer quickly through a mutual connection, and with no formal experience in the jewelry industry, we were going in a little blind. The process wasn’t perfect, but it taught us a lot about what we valued and the kind of brand we wanted to become. We moved quickly, worked scrappy, and launched with a small batch of styles that still hold a special place in our hearts. Our first photoshoot followed; shot on film, styled with borrowed outfits, and full of love. It became the visual language of Déclarer.

the launch
We introduced Déclarer with an intimate friends-and-family event at our founder’s home in Los Angeles. It was cozy, chaotic, and everything we hoped it would be. Our first orders shipped, our site went live, and suddenly this thing we had been dreaming about was real. The pieces weren’t perfect yet, but the intention was clear: we set out to make jewelry that meant something. Inspired by vintage declarations of love, we wanted each piece to feel like a modern heirloom.

Déclarer 2.0
We knew we needed a manufacturing partner who shared our values: attention to craft, ethical production, and a love for the details. After a year of searching, we found RIVA, a family-run team based in the iconic Brooklyn Army Terminal. Our founder was born and raised in Brooklyn, and the city remains a constant source of inspiration for everything we create. With RIVA, we refined our materials, perfected our finishes, and achieved the level of detail we always envisioned, with a strong focus on sustainability and ethical practices.

Today, Déclarer is still run by a small, female-led team that’s growing a little more each day. We’re supported by a group of incredible freelancers, creative collaborators, and a community that continues to shape what Déclarer is and where it’s going. Our collection is expanding, our quality is stronger, but the heart of it all is still the same: we’re here to make jewelry that means something.
